Just connect the male DP end to your computer’s DisplayPort and the female VGA or HDMI connector to a compatible cable to begin sharing audio/video signals. Only one display may be connected at a time. The plug-and-play P136-06N-HV-V2 requires no software, drivers or external power.

Passive Adapters Require DisplayPort++ for HDMI Pass Through
Because they are passive adapters, these units require that the connected source device have a DisplayPort++ (DP++) dual-mode port, which allows HDMI signals to pass through. Check your DisplayPort source’s documentation for compatibility.
